Description

The RAAF operated Mirage aircraft from 1966 until 1988 with a total of 116 aircraft in all.

The Mirage was the mainstay of the RAAF for that time having deployed in various theatres.

Manufactured both in France initially and domestically in Australia some aircraft flew well beyond the intended 1500 flying hours of the airframes.

This model is of the the second French-built aircraft A3-2, that remained in France until August 1965 to test the various RAAF modifications.
